The main idea was to propose an architecture that minimizes environmental impact on the existing landscape while adhering to sustainable practices and respecting the existing old cabin. In order to achieve all mentioned assumptions, the building has been merged with the terrain, creating the passage on its rooftop as a response to the functional requirements. The cabin has been relocated to the top of the new structure, connected together by stairs that lead visitors directly inside of the designed space, where all necessary amenities are provided. The new building serves as a base for the old architecture which was maintained as a landmark in the region.
