The idea is based on several important assumptions. The first one is adapting the building to the geometric surroundings, while creating a passage for cyclists who want to use the footbridge to the other part of the plot, where there is a square in front of the clinic. The desire to create a passage under the building contributed to the softening of the lower part, creating an isthmus. The path has become the dominant element and its task is to connect two zones of the plot that are distant from each other. Elevated above the streets, it allows you to experience space and admire the views. Delicate, wavy lines are to refer to the turning radii of vehicles, thus facilitating the passage. The structure of the ground floor takes advantage of the differences in the terrain and aligns with the plot of the official building, creating a new public space on its roof. From the inside, it is glazed, creating a feeling of spaciousness despite the escapes. Going lower, a square appears in front of the building, which is to be an extension and reference to Skulimowski Square, creating a space for urban life. On the ground floor there is a hall with administration and a cafe. The exhibition area is located on the 1st floor, where the wooden structure is supported on the Cobiax ceiling, which allows for sufficiently large cantilever suspensions. The exhibition is placed on modifiable sliding walls and on ropes fixed in the wooden coffered ceiling. The technical zone is located on the -1 floor. From every perspective, the building is seen in a variety of ways. Moving from the side of the Starosty, it seems to be one-story, while from the side of Skulimowski Square, we notice two floors, where the ceiling plays the function of a square. It was important to provide a new space for cyclists to encourage physical activity and thus contribute to reducing the number of cars, which is why I decided to create a parking lot for cyclists along with sanitary facilities. The building, partly one-story, is to be accessible to people with disabilities. It is equipped with 3 elevators, including one for goods. Behind the building, between the gallery and the clinic, there is a car park.
